Best R8 Revolver Skins in CS2

Can you handle one of the most powerful pistols in CS2? The delayed shot is good for sending more accurate bullets towards your opponent. However, it’s definitely something that takes some getting used to. And it doesn’t offer the same shooting speed as the Desert Eagle unless you switch to the other mode.

Imagine carrying a pistol that almost has the same stopping power as the AWP. Now, imagine getting skins for that pistol that are equally as cool yet won’t leave you broke afterward.

Release dates: 2015 to 2023.

The skins themselves come in a variety of categories. Here’s how we would categorize them.

  • Animal: Llama Cannon.

  • Artistic: Banana Cannon, Crazy 8, Junk Yard, Bone Forged, and Night.
  • Military/Camouflage: Survivalist, Crimson Web, Nitro, Desert Brush, Bone Mask, and Canal Spray.
  • Engraved: Memento and Grip, Inlay.
  • Fire/Heat: Skull Crusher and Blaze.
  • Fade/Gradient: Fade and Amber Fade.

Keep in mind that this information is subjective, and some skin can fit into multiple categories. And remember, the value of a skin can be based on numerous things such as design, demand, rarity, trends, and whether or not a specific pro is using it.

Top 10 R8 Revolver Skins in CS2

Now that we understand a couple of things about the available skins, let’s jump right into our top 10 list of R8 Revolvers. Just remember, ranking things based on visual appearance can be very subjective. Anyway, we’ll kick off our list at number 10 and end with what we think is the best skin available today. Here we go!

First but not best on our list is number 10

Phoenix Marker

R8 Revolver CS2 Phoenix Marker skin with graffiti-inspired design in blue, purple, and black. A unique addition to the best R8 Revolver CS2 skins collection.

The Phoenix Marker is a beautiful, kind of, graffiti like skin. The blue, purple, and black work really well together. The font used, if you get a pattern that has text, reminds us of a 90s cartoon, specifically Darkwing Duck. It’s at number 10 because:

  1. It has multiple patterns, which is nice. Our personal favorite is pattern #20.
  2. It’s not very expensive.
  3. The value has risen nicely over time.
  4. There are lots of options to choose from in terms of patterns and wear.

You’ll want to keep in mind that different patterns have different float thresholds. So, not every pattern will exist at Battle-Scarred levels.

Added: December 3, 2020

Float value range: 0.00 – 0.60

StatTrak™ available: no

Starting price: $3.04

Overall thoughts:This is a decent skin to add to your inventory. It would have a better position on our list if it were a bit cheaper.

Not number 10, but close. Coming in at number 9

Night

R8 Revolver CS2 Night skin featuring a minimalist black design. A budget-friendly choice for best R8 Revolver skins in CS2.

The Night skin is about as basic as a skin can get. However, it does have a beautiful simplicity to it. As the name suggests, the Night skin is pitch black. We like it at number nice as:

  1. It is very cheap. You can pick one up for under a dollar.
  2. The simple design, or lack of design, fits the revolver perfectly.
  3. Rising float levels add a roughness that seems to fit the R8 well.

If the Night skin were any more expensive, it wouldn’t be on our list. However, at less than a dollar, it’s a win-win.

Added: December 3, 2020

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.60

StatTrak™ available: no

Starting price: $0.70

Overall thoughts:If you feel like running around with a revolver that feels like you found it in a puddle down a dark alley, the Night skin is for you. It’s not like adding this one to your inventory will cost you much.

Number 8

Bone Forged

R8 Revolver CS2 Bone Forged skin with copper coating and green tint detail. A budget skin with etched five-kill marks.

The Bone Forged skin is likely one of the cheapest skins on this list. The copper coating and the etched handle are a really nice touch. However, there are other reasons why Bone Forged ranks 8 on our list. Here they are:

  1. The amazing detail of the copper coating turning a slight shade of green as the float increases.
  2. It’s cheap. We mean, you can open free cases for a week and earn enough to pick this skin up.
  3. We love the 5 kills etched into the revolver.

Even if you don’t think this should be at number 8, you should still own it as it’s so cheap.

Added: March 31, 2020

Float value range: 0.00 – 0.60

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $0.06

Overall thoughts:We recommend the Battle-Scarred version so you can appreciate the level of detail. The slightly visible green tint is a thing of beauty!

We’re slipping this one in at number 7

Banana Cannon

R8 Revolver CS2 Banana Cannon skin with playful yellow theme and evolving patterns. A fun and affordable choice for CS2.

The Banana Cannon is rarely featured on a top-10 list, and we aren’t quite sure why. We love the theme and long-running memes that come along with it. Owning this skin kind of makes us feel like we are part of all of that within the community. We also love it because:

  1. It’s a very good price for something so playful.
  2. The way the float increases affect the skin is spot-on with our bananas in the office.
  3. It makes us smile every time we see it.

Really enjoying how a skin looks is one of the most important things. And this skin is spot on when it comes to that.

Added: February 10, 2023

Float value range: 0.00 to 1.00

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $0.31

Overall thoughts:We were thinking about placing this skin at number 3 or 4. However, because it’s so connected to more personal things, we thought we’d place it a bit closer to number 10.

At number 6

Amber Fade

R8 Revolver CS2 Amber Fade skin with gradient shades of green, orange, and yellow. A cheap yet stylish R8 Revolver skin.

The Amber Fade skin is 1 of 2 gradient skins on our list; keep scrolling to see the other. The green to orange to yellow gradient is decent. We also love that:

  1. The price for a “fade” is very cheap.
  2. There is no Battle-Worn version so the float isn’t crazy.
  3. The price remains pretty consistent from when it first launched.

This is a skin you can buy and enjoy. And for the price, it’s well worth it.

Added: December 8, 1015

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.40

StatTrak™ available: no

Starting price: $0.65

Overall thoughts:Though it is a gradient skin, it’s not the original Fade. We are missing the pinks and purples. Still a decent buy at its price point.

Reaching the halfway point at number 5

Reboot

R8 Revolver CS2 Reboot skin with futuristic gray, red, and black tones. Ideal for tech-themed skin enthusiasts.

The Reboot skin gives off a very Robocop feeling, and we love it!  The gray, red, and black colorway just works. That’s not the only reason we’ve placed it at the mid-way point on our list. Also because:

  1. Again, the design you get is very cheap.
  2. The float increase adds to the feeling of a robot that’s been through war.
  3. The price remains consistent, so you won’t lose money if you want to resell it.

We recommend buying the Minimal Wear as the price is about 3 times lower and there isn’t that much of a visual difference.

Added: June 16, 2016

Float value range: 0.00 to 1.00

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $0.50

Overall thoughts:The Reboot is a gun for someone who likes a technological/futuristic look. If you like that, which we do, this skin is an amazing buy for the price.

In at number 4

Llama Cannon

R8 Revolver CS2 Llama Cannon skin with blue patina and detailed etching. A visually stunning option among the best R8 Revolver skins in CS2.

The Llama Cannon skin has a lot going for it. A lot. In fact, we’ll just list them below:

  1. The blue patina on the Factory New version is beautiful.
  2. We love how the etching on the gun matches the etching on the handle. We can imagine the feeling in our hands.
  3. It has a Llama on it. Yep, a Llama.

The Factory New version has dropped in price recently, which seems like a great buying opportunity!

Added: September 14, 2017

Float value range: 0.03 to 0.70

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $2.71

Overall thoughts:Though the Factory New version is significantly more expensive, we recommend that one. The blue patina really adds another layer to the beauty of this skin.

Blazing in at number 3

Blaze

R8 Revolver CS2 Blaze skin with fiery flames along the barrel. A vibrant and affordable R8 Revolver CS2 skin option.

The Blaze is a skin that needs little explanation. It’s covered in flames that start at the barrel and flow towards the revolver. So why do we have it at number 3? Here’s why:

  1. There are multiple patterns.
  2. It only comes in two versions, Factory New and Minimal Wear.
  3. Every version available costs between $2.18 – $2.22

No matter which version you get, the design will almost be in perfect condition, if not perfect.

Added: September 22, 2021

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.08

StatTrak™ available: no

Starting price: $2.18

Overall thoughts:The price is great for the level of skin you receive. We prefer patterns with yellow from the barrel reaching as far back as possible, like patterns 58, 88, and 89.

Almost best, but not. At number 2

Crimson Web

R8 Revolver CS2 Crimson Web skin with red and black spider web design. A standout choice for affordable CS2 R8 Revolver skins.

The Crimson Web skin has a very distinctive blood-red color with black spider webs throughout the design. We love this skin the second most because:

  1. It has a very distinctive skin that stands out from the rest.
  2. Different versions are always good.
  3. Has a very cheap price yet a perception of being expensive.

The Battle-Scarred is well worth the price of 10 cents. Again, this is something you can collect by opening free cases in less than a week!

Added: December 8, 2015

Float value range: 0.06 to 0.80

StatTrak™ is available: yes

Starting price: $0.10

Overall thoughts:This may be a hotly disputed comment, but if you’re going to buy this skin, it should probably be the Factory New or Battle-Scarred. Yep, we said it. The Battle-Scarred version has a kind of gone-to-war-and-back, a few times look!

The best and not the rest. Coming in at number 1

Fade

R8 Revolver CS2 Fade skin with gradient colors of yellow, orange, red, and purple. The top choice for best R8 Revolver CS2 skins.

The Fade skin comes from one of the most recognizable collections in CS history, the yellow, orange, red, and purple gradient. We’ve placed the Fade skin at #1 because:

  1. The colors are great.
  2. It’s recognizable.
  3. It’s covert.
  4. It’s in demand.
  5. It’s not cheap.

For us, the Fade skin was a simple choice due to the reasons listed above.

Added: December 8, 2015

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.40

StatTrak™ is available: yes

Starting price: $7.95

Overall thoughts:Yes, it is the most expensive skin on the list, which happens to also be the number one spot. Just remember the things that we listed at the beginning of our countdown that create value. This skin has them all. Period.

Yes and no. It really depends on how you want to use it and whether or not you can aim well enough to take advantage of the slower but higher power shot the R8 delivers. The R8 is also not very expensive so is good for rounds you don’t have a lot to spend.
